Child Labour

Stop Child Labor

The poverty problems in India are not new, and the ones who are getting caught in the crossfire are mostly children. They are forced to enter the realm of child labor to serve as assets for their adjacent families. Even after the much needed 2006 amendment to the field of Child Labor Prohibition and Regulation Act, which has covered lakhs of child laborers below 14 years of age, the poverty is still glowing and forcing children to be associated with labor sector at such a tender age. That’s when Dream Charitable Foundation came into action along with civil society. There have been multiple ways through which we will get to contribute to end child labor.

Our primary goal is to eradicate child labor from its core. Some of the main causes behind this growth are poverty, lack of educational resources, administrative laxity, and addiction disease or disability. So, we will be working hard to eradicate these problems so that no child will be forced to enter the world of labor at such a tender age.

Focusing on commercial enterprise encouragement

We will work hard to sensitizing trade organizations to end their social evil. Locals are furthermore made pretty vigilant to report some instances revolving around child labor at businesses. Multiple children are still forced to work laboriously for 14 to 16 hours straight and in some of the laborious works like stone cutting, farming, zari, and embroidery work, and even in harmful mining industries.

We will team up with the best volunteers to stop these factories from accepting child labors. Dream Charitable Foundation will take harsh action against these commercial enterprises if they see any child labor within the vicinity.

We will also be teaching the parents of urban and rural slums the importance of child education so that they stop sending their little ones to work in place of studying. With mid-day meal services in schools, these poor kids will get to eat good food while getting education. Our goal is to reach as many slum areas and backward classes as possible, and provide them with information on why child labor needs to be banned permanently.

Working on the policy reform

Our team from Dream Charitable Foundation will be working hard to eradicate child labor and foster child rights from the starting point. We will fight against such issues through lobbying for legislation and reform. Furthermore, we will also work hard to establish long-lasting reforms with some of the vulnerable Indian communities, along with some national and state-level governance to work on not just child labor, but also towards corporal punishment, child abuse, child rights violation and trafficking.

Eradicating the issue evolving around child trafficking

Our main aim at Dream Charitable Foundation is to ensure that child trafficking becomes culturally and socially unacceptable. For that, we will be establishing long term relations with urban and rural families to support their causes through community volunteers. Our main goal over here is to spread education-based awareness. Some of the other legislative notices, like the Child Labor Prohibition and Regulation Act, 1986, will get strong with our help.

Create awareness in big ways

We are also planning to run some major campaigns to improve child rights in India. Furthermore, we will hire a separate team from Dream Charitable Foundation to interact with vulnerable communities through a direct medium and helping them understand why it is important for children go to school and away from labor.

Moreover, we will also work hard to make child education of prime importance. With more children getting enrolled in schools, they won’t get chance to work in any laborious work. Even we plan to offer some job opportunities to poor parents to support their families. Indirectly, it helped us to stop child labor to some extent.

Conclusion

Lack of proper parental care and disruption in schooling were the reasons to give fuel to child tracking and subsequent enrolment into child labor. It resulted in rapid growth in child labor mediums. It clearly proves that Dream Charitable Foundation’s intervention will be a major turning point to save the lives of thousands of children.

The urban poor children in India, who were deprived of education, would often find them trapped within the boundaries of child abuse and exploitation. For us, it is about small children, who are our future and we will do anything to protect them.
